The third reason that it would be wrong to consider glaciers in isolation from other parts of the environment is that glacial landscapes involve many processes and features other than glaciers. 

For example, to understand the landscape shown here we would need to understand not just glaciers, but also rivers, hillslopes, coasts, and even human activity. It is impossible to understand glacial landscapes by studying glaciers alone.

So there are several reasons why we should consider glaciers, or any geomorphic agent, in the context of other phenomena, rather than in isolation.
